My Favourite Night-Time Fragrances

Saturday is Valentines Day, a day that people either love or loathe, seemingly. I thought it was an ideal time to share my go-to perfumes for the occasion. Whether you're having a romantic one with a significant other or spending the evening out drinking with your pals, these are the night-time scents you need.
You probably know by now that Lush are responsible for a number of my firm favourites when it comes to perfume. I love wearing Cocktail - it's beautiful, truly unique and I often get compliments when wearing it. Despite it's long list of gorgeous ingredients which I'm very familiar with and love, none of them are distinguishable to me - lavender, bergamot, jasmine, rose, sandalwood and ylang ylang. The result is a long-lasting and alluring, powdery floral. Cocktail is a rare fragrance; I'm fairly sure you can only pick it up from the Gorilla Perfume flagship store or Lush Oxford Street.

The second sultry scent on my Valentines fragrance list is Alien. This Thierry Mugler offering is strong, mysterious and womanly. Jasmine steals the show in this floral elixir, alongside notes of cashmeran and amber. Alien is another one to write home about in terms of sillage making it well worth it's high-end price tag.

Finally, not pictured but in my opinion, the most seductive of three, is Illamasqua's first fragrance, Freak. Base notes of smoky oud, frankincense and myrrh, dark floral heart notes courtesy of poison hemlock and blossom blended with opium and belladona top notes to create a heady, woody one-of-a-kind fragrance.
